Abstract

1312243 Continuous casting ASHMORE BENSON PEASE & CO Ltd 12 March 1970 [21 March 1969] 15040/69 Heading B3F Communication between the outlet 11 (e.g. of fireclay) of a tundish 12, and a stationary mould 5, (e.g. of copper) is by way of a body (ring) 8 of silicon nitride. The ring 8 is secured to the mould by a bolted clamping ring 9. As indicated, the path through the nozzle 11 and ring 8 to the mould cavity 7 increases in crosssection.
